Rise Ventures recently held face to face training in Food Handling held at Kowanyama, council and school staff also attended to gain food safety skills and certification.
On completion of their theory, they then made themselves lunch with the new skills and knowledge they gained from attending the course.
This course prepares the jobseekers for work readiness for when the Blue Café and Bakery re-open.
It also assisted the ladies as they donate their spare time supporting events preparing BBQ’s and food for events.
The ladies have since received their certificate of completion.
