RISE Ventures is a for purpose organisation committed to empowering the people and communities where we work.

We specialise employment, education, microenterprise, wellbeing and community enhancement in remote Indigenous communities.

Our teams are located in Katherine and Kybrook, NT, and Pormpuraaw and Kowanyama, Cape York QLD. We also have a support services and a youth program located in Cairns.

As part of the AKG family, we benefit from the backing of an innovative employment services organisation with 30+ years experience in Australia and businesses across the globe.

Our ambition is to create place-based, co-operative solutions that contribute to self-determined, sustainable communities.

RISE Ventures is funded by the National Indigenous Australian’s Agency and delivers the Community Development Program (CDP), Trialling Pathways to Real Jobs (TPRJ) and Indigenous Skills and Development Program (ISEP).

We are committed to working with Government to achieve the Closing the Gap targets, design new solutions and influence future policy.

The RISE-UP Program

RISE Ventures and Bounce Global have partnered together to co-design and deliver RISE-Up, a transformative program for staff and community members alike.

Our ambition is to reimagine our approach to servicing our aspirants and be leaders in aligning employment and community development with Indigenous values and place-based solutions for remote communities.

Since the beginning of 2023, every team member at RISE Ventures and Nyirrunggulung-RISE have been trained in the Bounce Job Coach Certification or Train the Trainers for Wellbeing Programs.

Parallel to this, our leadership team have been completing the Bounce Coaching Skills for Leaders certification, working closely with Bounce CEO Maria Smith.

These qualifications give our staff practical and powerful wellbeing and work-readiness skills to support, influence, and nudge our aspirants towards more positive employment outcomes.

Going forward, all new RISE Ventures staff will complete an online version of the Bounce Job Coach Certification, with support from RISE-Up mentors in their team.

RISE Ventures acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognises their connection to land, water and community. We pay our respects to all First Nations people and their cultures, and to elders both past and present.
Our teams live and work on the lands of the Kokoberra, Kunjen and Kokomenjen people in Kowanyama, the Thaayore, Wik, Bakanh and Yir Yoront people in Pormpuraaw, the Jawoyn, Dagoman, and Wardaman people in Katherine, and the Gimuy-walubarra yidi people in Cairns.
