Youth Connectivity Hub – Certificate III in Civil Construction
The RISE Katherine youth team have been completing their Certificate III in Civil Construction
Local consultancy Savanna Solutions have been supporting their training as part of a Transition to a Job program.
The guys have been learning welding and how to use hand and power tools to cut, weld and bend materials.
Making The Most Of Rainy Days At The Men’s Connectivity Hub
The last few weeks have seen daily rain in Katherine, so we used this opportunity to plan future hub activities. Jack, our Activities Supervisor sat with our participants to talk about ideas for the Hub and what they would like to achieve. They also discussed their employment goals and how we can tailor our services to suit their needs.
A participant who has recently connected back with RISE is Lex. He enjoys attending the Hub as he is building a TV stand for his home with the mentoring and guidance from Bernard one of our TPRJ employees.
