Over two days in February, Rise Ventures Pormpuraaw hosted a barbeque so our community members could meet potential employers from Pormpuraaw Aboriginal Shire Council and Pormpuraaw Paanthu Aboriginal Corporation.
There were aged care jobs available, and we were very lucky to have Pattie, the Aged Care Coordinator from the Council come along.
More than 10 positions were available and we were able to fill many of them.
Successful job seekers had limited skills in aged care, however that didn’t matter. They showed how committed and passionate they are about looking after our elderly, and they got the job!

- Integrated Support Officer
- Road Safety Workers

- Teacher’s Aides
- Cleaners
