The First Step to a Career in Construction for Kybrook Locals

In partnership with Aboriginal Enterprises Australia, RISE Ventures Katherine facilitated a 2-day White Card training and certification at Kybrook Community Farm.

Eleven clients from Kybrook completed the training and we were pleasantly surprised to have eight women who are breaking down barriers in a male-dominated industry.

One of the ladies even brought her young baby along to the workshops, showing just how determined she is to get qualified.

Having a White Card allows you to work on a construction site and proves you have participated in face-to-face worksite safety training.

This White Card training is just the start of a pathway to qualifications and a career in the construction industry for our clients.

In March, they will commence their studies to gain a Certificate II in Construction Pathways. We’re excited about the employment opportunities that will open up for our graduates in the future!
