Pormpuraaw Aboriginal Shire Council always makes sure they have locally identified positions for road works and road paving yearly.
This year Rise and Pormpuraaw Council’s joint employment strategy has seen 6 CDP participants commence employment. They will have work until the next wet comes along in December. Once the paving is completed these participants will have opportunities with road work positions that will be ready.
