Pormpuraaw’s brand new Women’s shelter has now been completed. After community consultation was undertaken on the design over previous years, the finished product is amazing. Strategic Builders did a great job of hiring locally throughout the entire project and worked really well in partnership with Pormpuraaw Aboriginal Shire Council and Rise CDP to achieve this. This provided local opportunities for upskilling and employment and is another great achievement for the Pormpuraaw Community and Council.
