As part of the Governments ‘Room to Breathe project’ houses in the Kybrook community are being renovated, which allows men from the community to assist and work alongside the tradies. One of the men, Patrick was also selected to be trained for a likely permanent position and has now completed the Certificate 2 in Remote Area Essential Services Operations. He will assist with the renovations as well as work as a relief ESO until a permanent position becomes vacant. Andrew from Power Projects NT (PPNT) is very happy with the support RISE has provided to engage our job seekers in the ‘Room to Breathe’ project and looks forward to working with us in future projects. Other job seekers began work this week on a Community Garden facilitated by the EON Foundation. Meanwhile, the ladies have been getting creative in the new Kybrook Womens activity. All and all a busy couple of weeks in Kybrook and many jobs well done!
