Kybrook Farm

June 14, 2019

We were approached by elders and community members at Kybrook Farm to help organise and clean up the community to get it ready for Sorry business in the following  week. We facilitated this with the help from the Job Seekers in the activity. As a result we removed garbage, mowed and whippersnipped lawns and did general yard clean ups for four of the houses that were being used to accommodate all the extended family members from around the region. This took two days, and we did several trips for firewood from around the Pine Creek area to supply fires that would be at the house where the vigil for the casket would be, and also to two other houses where cooking and family groups would be staying. The community elders let us know our help was greatly appreciated and that we had made the area more than acceptable for the occasion.
