Dylan is a young 21 year old man living with Cerebral Palsy who has just obtained employment with Corrobboree Hostel in Katherine as a night watchman.
Since a young teen Dylan has faced challenges with substance abuse that have hindered him obtaining and maintaining employment. Dylan said that his biggest barrier was his own mind set and the way he looked at life. Through support from RISE Ventures, his partner and family, Dylan was able to find a new way to look at life and has been clean for around 6 months.
RISE Ventures Katherine will continue to support Dylan to maintain his employment over the next 6 months with intensive post placement support.
