The Rise Kowanyama Arts and Culture program participants are currently in Cairns this week as the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) kicks off their virtual program. It’s the first time the Kowanyama participants are taking part in the in the exhibition. We are very proud of all the talented Kowanyama artists and are excited to see the online art fair from the 10th of November.
Over the last three years RISE has been invited to collect Mangoes from the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade – Katherine Research Station.This year RISE along with Nyirrunggulung-RISE have been invited to assist with the mango distribution around our remote communities of Beswick, Barunga, Binjari, Kalano and Katherine regions.
